About the Owners

Carol and Henrik on the beachHenrik and Carol have been ocean people all of their lives. BoogieFish is a “dream come true”. It is named for Carol’s passion for “boogie-boarding” and Henrik’s passion for fishing.

Henrik moved to the USA from Denmark at the age of twelve and spent memorable vacations in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. Henrik is an avid fisherman and enjoys all types of fishing. He builds his own rods, ties flies, and loves to cook his catch. He is currently studying the art of catching fish on the Outer Banks and wants to share fishing tips with Boogiefish guests. When, where, and how was the catch best? Henrik also body surfs the waves in front of BoogieFish.

Carol began riding waves at the age of five on Long Beach Island, New Jersey and has enjoyed the waves in Hawaii, California, and all over the east coast . Body boarding is her favorite way of playing in the waves, but she also loves to body surf, kayak and swim with the dolphin. When the wind is up, you Carol flies through the water on her kite board. Carol’s artistic touch can be seen in every room at BoogieFish.
